  Social Welfare Policy  –  The Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Prgram ( 4Ps ) -  A program initiated by the Arroyo administration and continued by Aquino administration up to now with President Rodrigo Duterte’s term. 4Ps aims to improve health, nutrition and education of Filipinos aged 0-18 through provision of cash grants to the poorest Filipino familes. It is a multi-awarded program ( International and local ) for being an exemplary on breaking the cycle of poverty through conditional cash transfer ( CCT ). 4Ps has two objectives: 1. Social assistance  –  Financial support to the poor families for their needs. 2. Social development - Eradicating poverty cycle through strengthening health and education of children Beneficiaries: -  Poorest families based on 2003 Small Area Estimates -  Families whose economic condition is equal to or below the provincial poverty threshold -  Household that have children 0-18 years of age and/or have a pregnant woman at the time of assessment. -  Households that agree to meet conditions specified in the program.  According to status report of DSWD in 3 rd  Quarter of 2017, 4Ps covered the 98.89% of active households target of CCT. While in 2015 findings, that more than 1.5 million family-beneficiaries, which is 36% of the total 4Ps beneficiaries of the program have been removed from the list of being poor. Overall according to status reports, 4ps are quite successful in accomplishing objectives and goals.  Defense Policy  –  AFP Modernization Act -  Aims to develop The Armed Forces of the Philippines to become capable in protecting and preserving the Republic of the Philippines through upgrading technology and equipment, improvement of bases and facilities, development of  AFP doctrines and reformation of recruitment, training, employment and management of AFP Personnel. The program was srcinally made by the Ramos administration but failed to accomplish due to the 1997 Financial crisis and failed to continue by the successive administration until 2012, where President Benigno Aquino’s administration amended the law to continue modernizing the AFP. And now, the Duterte administration strengthening it more by funding the upgrades with P140 Billion for 2018 budget. The PH plans to buy armaments from Russia and China and unlike with the past administration, the President guarantees the quality and not second-hand equipments.
