  1) Bible 2) Pope 3) Salvation 4)  After death   Protestantism: Theybelieve that the Bible is the only source of special revelation of God to humanity. They saw the Bible as the standard by which all Christian behavior must be measured. This belief is commonly known as ‘Sola Scriptura’.  Catholicism: Theyreject the doctrine of ‘Sola Scriptura’ and do not believe that the Bible alone is sufficient. They believe that both, the Bible and sacred tradition of Roman Catholicism, are equally important to the Christian.   Catholicism: The Pope is the ‘Vicar of Christ’ , and takes the place of Jesus Christ as the visible head of the Church. As such, he has the ability to speak ex cathedra , and when he does, his teachings are considered infallible and binding on all Christians.  Protestantism: Theybelieve that the authority of the church is not of apostolic succession, but derived from the Word of God. Spiritual power and authority do not rest in the hands of common men, but in the very  Word of God recorded in Scripture.
