Lesson 1
This lesson focuses on classifying triangles through identifying the angle and side measures. The students will learn different types of angles such as acute angles, obtuse angles, and right angles. They will then be given examples of different triangles and define the examples very specifically. Students will then learn how to classify triangles by sides to determine if the example is an isosceles triangle, equilateral triangle, or scalene triangle. They will then create their own Frayer Models for each triangle on the computer to use as a graphic organizer to use throughout the unit. The students will search for these components online to build their model. This lesson will help students to learn to reason abstractly and quantitatively.

Tailor searches online to acquire useful information efficiently. Students will use their knowledge from class to find sources online. Lesson 2
This lesson focuses on proving basic theorems of triangles. The students will learn about the Triangle Angle-Sum Theorem and the Exterior Angle Theorem. They will learn what each of the theorems mean, and also learn how to apply them to mathematical and real-world examples. By the end of the lesson, the will be required to understand how to determine what the questions are asking, how to apply the theorems to each question and how to solve them.

Lesson 3
This lesson focuses on using properties of congruence and corresponding parts of triangles. The students will work to identify corresponding congruent parts. This will lead students to discover the Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent (CPCTC) rule. Students will then use this rule to find the missing values of corresponding parts. Students will work to understand why the angles and segments are congruent with understanding the properties of triangle congruence and definition of congruent polygons. Students will work prove triangles congruent. Applying the Triangle Angle-Sum Theorem will lead students to discover the Third Angles Theorem. Students will prove two triangles congruent by using their understandings of the Third Angles Theorem and applying previous theorems they have learned.

Lesson 4
This lesson will focus on two new postulates that will be used to prove triangles congruent. The students will learn how to prove triangles congruent using Side-Side-Side (SSS) Congruence postulate or Side-Angle-Side (SAS) Congruence postulate. The will learn to analyze visuals and information given to determine which congruence postulate can be used to prove triangles congruent. They will be able to given reasoning and justification as to why two triangles are or are not congruent.

Lesson 5
This lesson focuses on classifying triangles through the Angle Side Angle (ASA) postulate and Angle Angle Side (AAS) postulate. The students will learn how the postulates are used to prove two triangles are congruent. Students will be able to construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. They will work in pairs to solve proofs and then groups with assigned roles to complete the Around the World activity. This lesson will help students use appropriate tools strategically.

Lesson 6
This lesson focuses on the use of the isosceles and equilateral triangle properties. The students will work to identify congruent angles and segments when comparing two triangles. Students will understand why angles and segments are congruent when applying the correct theorems to each congruence statement they determine. Learning how to apply the proper theorem to solve a proof of congruent angles and segments helps students better their knowledge for when they have to prove more complicated proofs.
