Ecology of life
ECOLOGY OF LIFE  Introduction ã Ecology is the scientific study of the processes regulating the distribution and abundance of organism and the interactions among them, and the study of how these organisms in turn mediate the transport and transformation of energy and matter in the biosphere. ã The goal of ecology is to understand the principles of operation of natural systems and to predict their responses to change.  Levels of organizations of ecology ã Individual, Species, organism ã Population ã Community ã Ecosystem ã Biome ã Biosphere  Individual, Species, organism ã An individual is any living thing or organism. Individual do not breed with individuals from the other groups. Animals, unlike plants, tend to be very definite with this term because some plants can cross-breed with the other fertile plants. In image you will notice that Gill, the goldfish, is interacting with its environment, and will only crossbreed with the other gold fishes just like her.
